For many clients, especially men, hair loss causes much anxiety but did you know you can rejuvenate your hair with PRP/PRF Treatment?
PRP/PRF or Platelet Rich Plasma or Platelet Rich Fibrin, has been used effectively in dermatology and aesthetic medicine to treat acne, scarring, and skin rejuvenation.
In this article, I will give you a brief overview of PRP?PRF for rejuvenating hair.
What is PRP/PRF?
PRP or Platelet-Rich Plasma or PRF Platelet Rich Fibrin describes a portion of your blood that contains a high concentration of platelets within a small volume of plasma.
Alocuro PRP equipment, which is what we use at Jennifer Carly Aesthetic Medicine, is latest technology and offers an excellent platelet collection efficiency of 90-95% with the ability to customise the platelet number, leukocyte number within the PRP for injection.
The equipment we use is also supplied to radiologists, orthopaedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, rheumatologists, pain medicine physicians, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, general practitioners, dentists, aesthetic medicine doctors and registered nurses, just to name a few.
How can you rejuvenate your hair with PRP/PRF?
When you book in to Jennifer Carly Aesthetic Medicine for hair rejuvenation, we’ll use PRP/PRF by injecting it into your scalp to promote hair regrowth.
On one hand, PRP/PRF allows shrunken hair follicles to grow bigger and healthier, resulting in more strong hair growth.
On the other hand, PRP/PRF also stimulates angiogenesis and localised cell development by activating follicular progenitor cells (adult stem cells).
PRP/PRF has also regrown hair in alopecia areas, eyebrow hypotrichosis, and other client situations with non-hereditary hair loss.
How long does hair rejuvenation take?
This will differ from patient to patient, but in many cases having three treatments, three weeks apart, leads to ideal hair growth.
In these images below, the image on the right is ahead of the third treatment (with preparation cream in place) and you can already see evidence of hair rejuvenation.
I will add further articles and images about hair rejuvenation in the future.
