Retinaldehyde (retinal) is the most potent vitamin A derivative and is just one step away from retinoic acid (while retinol is two steps away).
Retinol-Like
A plant-origin peptide obtained from Nicotiana Benthamiana. Its activity is similar to that of retinol and retinoic acid in terms of efficacy in type I collagen production.
Bakuchiol
Plant-based retinol like. Equivalent in efficacy to retinol, but with a different chemical structure. It reduces hyperpigmentation and wrinkles with the same effectiveness, but it is also highly tolerable for sensitive skin.
